Hello there! We are Bizzy, a thriving B2B data platform that empowers sales and business development teams to effortlessly find, understand and track companies using intelligent, automated business insights.
We are looking for an ambitious data engineer who can handle large volumes of data and loves scaling challenges, to join our expanding data team. In this role, you’ll have the autonomy to design, develop and maintain our data collection systems, a core component of the Bizzy platform. Our headquarters is located in the dynamic Watt The Firms site in Ghent, Belgium, where you’ll collaborate with innovative scale-ups and be surrounded by a community of forward-thinking professionals.
Responsibilities
- Expand and enhance our data collection systems
- Maintain and improve data quality, ensuring accuracy and reliability
- Work closely with our data science and engineering team to support their needs
- Design and implement robust infrastructure capable of handling large amounts of data
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies, applying relevant ones to our operations
Requirements
- You hold a Master of Science degree in Computer Science Engineering or an equivalent field, or have equivalent professional experience
- You are a self-starter and take ownership of your work, being meticulous and thorough in your approach
- You are comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team
- You have a keen interest in technology and data, and have a drive to continually learn and develop your skills
- Proficiency in English
- You know your way around (My)SQL and Git
- Knowledgable about design patterns and data structures
Nice to have
- Prior experience with Kubernetes
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP
- Experience building and maintaining scalable data pipelines
- Experience in web scraping
