Keyrock is expanding!

Keyrock was founded in 2017 and has quickly grown from 3 to over 100 people today. As an industry recognized liquidity provider and market maker, Keyrock is a leading European creator of algorithmic trading technology in the digital asset space. With VC backing including Series B investment from Ripple and a constantly expanding global client base, Keyrock is one of Belgium’s fastest-growing fintech companies.

We’re currently active on over 80 exchanges and count numerous marketplaces and asset issuers among our clients, including some of the best-known companies in the digital assets space.

Keyrock’s beating heart is its technical team filled with software engineers, digital scientists and academics, who themselves are supported by university professors, industry-leading experts and a strong management team. Over the years Keyrock has become a company that is both idealistic and practical.

We are looking for:

an Agile Delivery Manager at Keyrock who will be concerned with when something will be delivered and what will be delivered (in coordination with Product Managers), especially with a focus on efficiency and maximising throughput.

Delivery Managers work to ensure a squad’s (cross functional product development team’s) success in delivering their mission, primarily by helping to identify and especially remove blocking dependencies and other hurdles impacting the squad’s ability to deliver and progress their mission or objective within suitable timeframes. They would lead agile ceremonies in the absence of a squad lead.

Delivery Managers may need to support multiple squads, and serve as the agile iteration coordinator for each of those squads. They will also be required to liaise with guild leads (code & capability team-leads) to ensure pre-agreed guild tasks are within the flow of squad work, when relevant.

A Delivery Manager owns and continuously optimises product development processes, tool-usage and follows up with squads and Product Managers (PMs) in order to create transparency towards maximising throughput and to make all stakeholders involved and aware of the current development state.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Constantly looking to identify blockers and hurdles early on, actively working to resolve those impediments, and escalating to PMs and Squad Leads when needed.

  • Management and tracking of cross team/squad task dependencies using the relevant tools used by the squads & guilds.

  • Management and tracking of all high-impact commitments (OKRs), and making sure tools and data reflect reality on a daily basis for PMs and squads.

  • Provide proactive visibility and effective communication of delivery status (targets, commitments and progress), through regular product development updates, and roadmap visualisations using agreed tools.

  • Works to minimise meetings and ceremonies, but when they are needed, they are well-run and efficient.

  • Encourages a culture of team-driven decision making and commitment and acts in a way to encourage trust and transparency across the squads.

  • Facilitates/supports team building events to encourage better product/squad/guild communication.

  • Where appropriate functions as an agile coach focused on improving the development process, in collaboration with the squad leads.

  • Supports PMs in building a Product-mindset in the squads (vs Project).

  • Contributes to the data collection of product development analysis.

  • Reports to VP of Product.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Good general understanding of how large scale software systems are designed, built, tested, deployed and into the hands of customers.

  • Strong understanding of delivery and go-to-market methods and metrics.

  • Good general understanding of the role of product managers & designers, engineers & architects, quality assurance, devOps, data engineers, and commercial product marketing

  • At least 2 years of experience working in the engineering organisation of a product (or relevant) company using common Agile methods (Scrum, Kanban, XP, Lean Software Development)

Good to have:

  • Any Agile or related qualification around iterative software development cycles

  • Project Management qualifications

  • Good understanding of the DeFi ecosystem or algorithmic trading

Other factors:

Innovation thrives in product teams where diverse points of view come together to solve complex problems often using new approaches. Therefore, we explicitly seek people that bring diverse life experiences, diverse educational backgrounds, diverse cultures, and diverse work experiences. Please be prepared to share with us how your perspective will bring something unique and valuable to our product teams.

We are open to receive all applications and bolster a remote friendly environment, however due to strong need for the role to be aligned across different functions of business, a preference might be given to candidates based within +/- 3 hours away from Brussels local time in terms of timezone.

Recruitment process for the role:
1) HR screening call
2) Interview with hiring manager VP of Product (mix of technical and experience-based interview)
3) Recruitment challenge – we ask you to conceptualize delivery process based on provided company objectives and context)
4) Challenge debrief call with the hiring manager – where we ask you to go over your solution, discuss it and provide feedback
5) Final interview with the CTO
