We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Big Data and ML Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining large-scale data processing systems and machine learning models. The role requires in-depth knowledge of data management, processing, and machine learning technologies.

Job requirements

A day in the life of:

– Design and implement highly scalable and reliable data processing systems

– Manage and optimize big data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Cassandra and NoSQL databases

– Develop and maintain machine learning models for predictive analytics, natural language processing, and computer vision

– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement data-driven solutions

– Define the collection of data points: You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and define data points to collect, ensuring they are relevant and valuable to the organization

-Your responsibility will be to bootstrap the project and lay the foundation for future growth of the platform and of the data team

– Identify, collect, and preprocess data from various sources for analysis

– Develop and maintain data visualization tools for data exploration and reporting

– Stay up-to-date with the latest data processing and machine learning technologies and trends

– Ensure data security and privacy throughout the data processing and analysis pipeline

– Troubleshoot and debug issues in data processing and machine learning systems

Are you the new Big Data & ML Engineer at Lansweeper?

I am someone who has:

– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related field

– 3+ years of experience in big data processing and machine learning development

– Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases

– Experience with AWS managed services like EMR, S3, Athena, Quicksight

– Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and Scala

– Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Superset and D3.js

– Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

– Excellent communication and collaboration skills

– Good knowledge of English to read and write documentation and to actively interact with global teams in the other EU/US locations

– Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

– Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks

– Residence in Rome or nearby

Going for gold

– Experience with machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn

– Experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, and deep learning techniques

– Familiar with cybersecurity, especially vulnerability and risk management spaces
