Your Impact
As a Data Engineer at Deliverect, you will be the backbone of our data-driven decisions, enabling us to revolutionise the food-tech sector through insightful analytics and advanced data solutions. Your expertise in designing and developing scalable data pipelines using cutting-edge technologies like the Google Cloud stack and MongoDB will directly contribute to our growth and the enhancement of our services. By ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance, you empower Deliverect to deliver unparalleled value to our customers and stakeholders, making an indelible impact on the industry.

A Typical Day:

    • Data Pipeline Development: Design and implement scalable, reliable data pipelines to process structured and unstructured data into our data lake.
    • Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize data pipelines for enhanced performance and scalability, ensuring seamless data flow.
    • Data Governance: Implement and maintain robust data governance frameworks to uphold data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all data systems.
    • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor data pipelines, identifying and resolving issues to maintain high reliability and performance.
    • Industry Engagement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in data engineering to drive innovation within Deliverect.
    • Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to fellow engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.

Your Expertise:

    • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (ideal but not essential).
    • Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale data projects.
    • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Python and a strong understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, and dimensional modelling.
    • Data Governance Knowledge: Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and metadata management practices.
    • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities with a knack for optimizing data pipelines for performance and scalability.
    • Self-Starter: Ability to drive projects forward with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and independence.

Additional

    • Google Cloud Environment: Familiarity with Google Cloud platform tools and services.
    • Programming Languages: Knowledge of additional programming languages such as Scala, Go, or Java.
    • MongoDB Experience: Hands-on experience with MongoDB in live environments, showcasing your ability to work with diverse data storage solutions.
