Medior / Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js) @ Cumul.io in Leuven

Cumul.io is looking for a Medior or Senior Backend Engineer with a strong Node.js knowledge and a passion for teamwork and innovation. Are you the Node.js Backend Engineer ready to join the team maintaining and developing new features of our outstanding data analysis & visualization platform?

What you will do

• Work as part of a team with junior and senior engineers that like to improve together.

• Write product code, develop new features of our data analysis & visualization platform.

• Keep an eye on the operations to ensure stability and performance of the product.

Who we are looking for

• You are a Backend Engineer with at least 2 years of software development work experience in a professional context. Experience in SaaS application development is a plus.

• You have in-depth knowledge and extensive experience with Node.js /Typescript. 

• You have extensive experience with data and relational databases (like PostgreSQL), and have worked with NoSQL data stores like Clickhouse or Snowflake. 

• Experience with Rust is a plus.

• You have strong analytical skills and problem solving aptitude and you are a fast learner. 

• You are a team player, eager to work intensively together to ship great software, but you are also able to deliver work by yourself. 

• You take responsibility and have attention to details, get a rush when all tests are green and prefer to ship daily.

• Experience with AWS and Pulumi are a plus.

• You communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing. 

• You can work in the CET timezone and travel occasionally (once or twice a year). We cannot provide a work permit.
