ML Lead @ Toqua in Gent

Job Description

Toqua’s looking for a motivated and bright individual to lead its ML efforts. ML is the core of Toqua’s product, so you’ll be a critical part of the product team and you will help define the product roadmap. You’ll make sure Toqua’s ML is world-class and you’re always looking for ways to improve it by drawing from the latest research and trends. Next to strong ML fundamentals and strategic decision-making, you’re a team player. You like coaching others, building a team and defining an innovative way of working.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership over Toqua’s ML
• Develop & execute a vision to gradually advance modelling capabilities in line with the product strategy
• Share knowledge, collaborate with, and mentor other data scientists
• Hands-on ML development
• Help define our technical culture and contribute to building a fast-growing team

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in computer science, statistics, math, physics, or similar through experience
• Experience with Python (TensorFlow/Keras/sklearn/PyTorch/…) and know your way around cloud platforms
• Previous experience in delivering ML projects
• High standards, disciplined, good communicator and team player
• Willing to take ownership
