As an automation engineer within our growing company, your job description is broad and challenging. For our technology department we are looking for a PLC programmer who supports as well the IoT development for our water purification units for drinking water and process water production. It is not a requirement to have experience with IoT, although it is a plus. It is especially important that you are flexible , independent and eager to learn . PLC & HMI: You optimize & monitor the standardization within the software You develop software for new installations and maintain/optimize the software for existing installations You design and improve user interfaces and HMI You do PLC programming with Wago (Codesys) and have knowledge of Siemens You work in an engineering project team on industrial projects IOT / Cloud: You can set up data capture, visualization and reporting in the PLC for correct transfer to the cloud You develop and maintain remote management of installations via VPN You set up routers and configure them in the installations for remote monitoring and control You are involved in (co)development of new IoT devices and applications You will work closely with the design and R&D department to improve the designs of new and existing installations
⚒️ Skills: You have a technical degree (a2 or Bachelor electromechanics) or a degree in ICT You feel at home behind a computer screen You have experience with PLC software (preferably codesys, but also others such as Tia portal, Twincat,… ) Java, .net, C, Pyton (not required but a plus) You have knowledge of networks and industrial communication as well as Office Apps You are interested in industrial automation and have relevant experience You are interested in IoT and new developments in this area You are fluent in English and Dutch (all software and comments are written in English) You report progress, challenges, possible redirects, opportunities Attitude You are hands-on & you like to build and create new things You challenge yourself and dare to think out of the box You are a real team player: You work together with colleagues; every project is a team effort You are proactive and always think a step further Quality is your priority; you want to excel in your work You are quick to understand and master new knowledge You love innovation Applicant must have a valid work permit/ permission to work in Belgium Relocation not provided
