As our Finance Specialist you’ll play a critical role in keeping itsme® financially healthy. You’ll be responsible for all
accounting activities within the company. This position is a real challenge you can sink your teeth into, and you’ll get ample
opportunities to take on more responsibilities as you grow in your job.
What your job looks like
- You carry out the day-to-day accounting tasks (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, invoicing, credit
collection, reconciliation, …). Moreover, you help to progressively optimize and automate these processes (e.g.
migrating to new accounting software, automating invoicing & debt collection processes, …). That way you’ll move
away from repetitive tasks, and you’ll consistently get more high-level and complex responsibilities. - You execute month and quarter end closes, and draw up itsme’s financial statements. You review financial
performance and support in preparing forecasts and budget checks. - You are the main liaison for our external Accountant and ensure that the Accountant delivers what he has
committed to. You also liaise directly with the financial auditor. - You support the People team in compensation & benefits topics.
- You report to, and work closely with the Financial Manager (who will join soon) to support him/her in budgeting,
reporting, financial analyses and financing. - You’ll also collaborate closely with Wouter, our Chief Growth & Financial Officer on the topics above.
Who we are looking for
- You perform on a Master’s degree level and you have at least 2-4 years of experience in an accounting role or
similar within the finance team. - Ideally you already have a solid and broad accounting expertise (AR/AP, invoicing, month & quarter closes, credit
management, audit preparation, payroll, …). - You have a thorough knowledge of BGAAP, and ideally also of other international accounting frameworks.
- Of course, you know your way around the MS Office applications and software for accounting and financial
reporting. - You can combine hands-on, detail-oriented and efficient execution with taking a helicopter view to analyse and
