Firmware Engineer @ Sensolus in Gent Centrum

Sensolus is looking for a new team member for the Hardware & Firmware team to help us building the best ultra-low power trackers for our IoT platform. As a Firmware Engineer, you will build high-quality code and take ownership of your parts of the code, from the idea up to final release in production. As a Firmware Engineer , you join the highly experienced firmware team of Sensolus. Write low-level & high-quality C code for our next generation of ultra-low power tracking devices, using the latest in hardware and software technology available Extend your knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy, Cellular NB-IoT and LTE Cat M1, GPS, WiFi protocols Work with Ultra-low power micro-controllers (ARM Cortex-M) Take highly technical challenges from ideas and prototypes to robust, factory-ready implementations in a fast and efficient way Write automated tests for your code, and make sure they’re green every single run Collaborate with colleagues through agile planning, code review and intensive sprints Document the working of the developed firmware components to inform team and customers Go the extra mile to exceed customer expectations

Required items 3+ years professional experience in embedded firmware development Proficiency in C, experience with git and git workflows You’re comfortable working on a Linux development machine Build up knowledge of drivers, algorithms, business logic and application code An analytical mindset with accuracy as a motto Taking ownership is within your DNA Both a team player and independent working skills A positive, enthusiastic and proactive way of working Bonus skills Proficiency in tooling surrounding C is a big plus. (E.g. gcc, gdb, cmake, make, binutils, etc… ) Affinity with signal processing Experience with ultra-low power hardware and firmware developement Experience with Zephyr RTOS Experience with automated testing, CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Bitbucket pipelines, …)
