Your mission
We have an exciting short-term opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join Intigriti for 3 months as soon as possible.

Your main focus will be assisting the team with the growing workload as we are expanding rapidly. This mainly entails: working on the end-of-year accounts, audit preparations, month end management accounts, and reporting.

The Interim Financial Controller role is primarily a remote position, with a requirement to be in the Antwerp office a few days per month for team collaboration and meetings. You will report directly to the Head of Finance.

What you’ll be doing
  • Review Belgian bookkeeping entries on our accounting system, Yuki and advise on inaccuracies on a daily basis.
  • Review and file monthly Belgian VAT returns.
  • Review and file the annual Belgian statutory accounts.
  • Support the team during the year-end audit, pick up incoming queries, run reports and gather data from Yuki.
  • Support with the reconciliation of payroll and accounting entries on wages back to employees to apportion costs to team level in the management accounts.
  • Assist with the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including month end reports, balance sheets, income statements, and board reports.
  • Develop and implement new processes within the growing team.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Finance and other departments to align the annual budget with department plans and workforce planning.
  • Assist the team with ongoing ad-hoc projects.
What you’ll bring
  • You are a qualified Belgian accountant with thorough knowledge of Belgian accounting principles and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of Yuki accounting software
  • Proven experience with month end / management accounting and audits.
  • Experience with statutory filing requirements in Belgium (VAT returns, end of year accounts)
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis and management accounting practices.
  • Advanced MS Excel modelling skills.
  • Hands-on self-starter mentality with experience in small and/or medium business environments in Finance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to senior management.
  • You speak fluent Dutch and English.
