Internship: App Analysis Android: Incremental analysis @ Guardsquare in Munich (DE)

In our Munich-based app analysis Java team we work on tools to automatically analyze Android apps. Our software is based on our open source bytecode manipulation library ProGuardCORE ( https://github.com/Guardsquare/proguard-core ) for static analysis, and on own tooling for dynamic analysis.

Project:

Analyzing an app using ProguardCORE can include various steps, e.g., using the call graph, or data flow analysis. Typically starting an analysis always starts from scratch, and analyzes the full app. In this internship you will work on incremental analysis, taking the results from the previous analysis, and only reusing the previously calculated (intermediate) results.

Profile:

• Experience with Java
• Interested in code analysis
• Ability to independently perform structured research into a topic
