️ Who are we looking for?

LIZY is looking for a motivated full-time Lead developer to join usour customer journey squad!

Our back-end tech stack currently consists of an event-driven Python Serverless Infrastructure. Data stores include Redis, PostgreSQL,DynamoDB DocumentDB, ElasticSearch. The underlying infrastructure runs on AWS using a combination of managed services like Lambda, SQS, SNS, GraphQL, API Gateway, AppSync. It runs through CI/CD pipelines that run automated tests and deploy to AWS via the Serverless framework. Our back-end primarily serves a graphQL API that our front-end React app consumes.

Our front-end tech stack currently consists of a React app, fed by a graphQL API, build with Next.js and hosted on Vercel with a fully automated CI/CD pipeline.

‍♀️ Your responsibilities

  • You coordinate a squad of 3 or 4 developers hand-in-hand with a PO.

  • Work closely with stakeholders & PO to understand business requirements & if needed help translate these into tech requirements for junior developers.

  • Assist in tasks planning, estimation, scheduling to make sure everyone is comfortable with the deliverables.

  • Participate in tech steering meetings & provide solutions to tech difficulties & complex issues that might affect various fields & subject areas simultaneously (you’re a tech entrepreneur so you need to stay on the leading edge of development practices!).

  • Own the stabilization backlog with other lead developers & are responsible for actions to take related to it.

  • Mentoring & training junior/medior team members on a daily basis (coding, testing, debugging, review…).

  • Analyze, code, test, implement & update existing or new software, web app to find solutions to the current company’s tech needs. You’re less involved in operational matters but you keep an eye on it as the goal is to provide a tangible end product for LIZY. 

  • You set up documentation on technical subjects to keep a process library up to date and to share with the team.

  • Challenge existing solutions and implement an architecture that meets the current and future needs of the company.

Your qualifications

  • You have more than 7 years of relevant experience.

  • You are fluent in English.

  • Experienced working in an Agile environment.

  • Demonstrated a natural ability to lead a team.

  • You love mentoring & coaching

  • Proficient in Python, or any other modern language and ready to dive into Python. DJANGO framework knowledge is a plus.

  • Workflow management in HubSpot is a strong asset. 

  • Solid grasp of the common software engineering practices (git, unit testing, code documentation, continuous integration, dependency management, monitoring, version management,.. ).

  • Experience in designing and building complex and yet maintainable systems.

  • Experience participating in code reviews and providing overall code quality suggestions to help maintain the structure and quality of the codebase.

  • Experience in using monitoring tools like Lumigo, Sentry,…

  • Substantial knowledge of cloud architecture (Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform ), serverless, and database design concepts.

  • Ability to design and communicate with external APIs (Rest, GraphQL, SOAP, …)

  • Javascript/ES6, react.js and redux have no secrets for you.

  • Comfortable with Vercel and Next.js (SSR, Dynamic paths, etc).

  • You have an excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 Bootstrap saas, tailwind, webpack.
