We are looking for a full-time Payroll & Reward Specialist to join our People & Talent Team in our Ghent, Belgium office. The Payroll & Reward Specialist reports to the Head of People Operations and will act as an expert for HR operations, payroll & benefits queries, and processes for internal and external partners in Belgium. They will also support the Head of People Operations on global projects too. What can you expect from this role?

  • Administrative & Payroll:
    • Process payroll for employees via our payroll platform Liantis and handle all employees questions and administration
    • Administer all BE employee benefit programs, including enrollments and terminations
    • Coordinate and conduct employees informative sessions regarding benefits for all employees
    • Together with the Head of People Ops, plan and administer the annual Total Rewards review
  • Compliance:
    • Be up to date with current laws and regulations and be proactive in communicating this to people and functional leaders

    • Contribute to People Ops compliance efforts by ensuring guidelines and policies are consistent and enforced in the areas of employment regulations

  • Projects:
    • Salary benchmarking project
    • Employee lifecycle policies and procedures that enhance and optimise existing HR practices
    • People & Talent analytics, reporting and dashboarding
    • Participate in ad-hoc projects and other duties as needed

Job requirements

Who are you?

  • A graduate with Masters in Human resources, accounting or another relevant field

  • You have at least 3 years experience in payroll, labour and social law preferably in a service, tech or SaaS environment

  • A strong interest in process improvement, D&I, social law, as well as local health and safety knowledge

  • Great at observational analysis to proactively identify opportunities and gaps

  • Strong communication and analytical skills combined with a proactive attitude

  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills

  • An independent, autonomous and enthusiastic hands-on approach to all tasks; willing to roll-up your sleeves to help anytime and to collaborate effectively
