Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js) @ Luzmo in Leuven

Luzmo is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong Node.js knowledge and a passion for teamwork and innovation. Are you the Node.js Backend Engineer ready to join the team maintaining and developing new features of our outstanding embedded analytics platform?

What you will do

• Work as part of a team with junior and senior engineers who like to improve together.

• Write product code, and develop new features for our data analysis & visualization platform.

• Keep an eye on the operations to ensure the stability and performance of the product.

Who are we looking for

• You are a Backend Engineer with at least 5 years of software development work experience in a professional context. Experience in SaaS application development is a plus.

• You have in-depth knowledge and extensive experience with Node.js /Typescript. 

• You have extensive experience with data and relational databases (like PostgreSQL) and have worked with NoSQL data stores like Clickhouse or Snowflake. 

• Experience with Rust is a plus.

• You have strong analytical skills and problem-solving aptitude and you are a fast learner. 

• You are a team player, eager to work intensively together to ship great software, but you are also able to deliver work by yourself.

• You have experience in coaching more junior colleagues. 

• You take responsibility and pay attention to details, get a rush when all tests are green and prefer to ship daily.

• Experience with AWS and Pulumi is a plus.

• You communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing. 

• You can work in the CET timezone and travel occasionally (once or twice a year). We cannot provide a work permit.
