Qargo Introduction
Qargo is a tech start-up with teams based out of London and Ghent (Belgium). We’re on a mission to transform the logistics industry by making it more efficient, profitable and sustainable. We are building the most user friendly and intuitive Transport Management System (TMS) on the market that automates administrative processes and optimizes planning. To achieve our mission and support our growth we’re looking to expand our engineering team.
What you’ll be doing
✅You analyse the product and business challenges and work out the right solution.
✅You take the lead in technical decisions and the design of technical solutions, both within our stack and enhancing it (encompassing Python, Django, GraphQL, K8s, React, React Native, and more).
✅You can identify and communicate the technical trade offs to the engineering and product team and engage with the product team in order to achieve the best possible solution.
✅You take ownership of delivering these solutions, both showing strong skills implementing solutions yourself or guiding team members to do so.
✅You mentor your more junior team mates, guiding them in technical and architectural best practices and improving their skill set.
✅You proactively spot technical dept and are pragmatic in analyzing and mitigating risks associated with it.
Your Profile
✅You have a proven track record designing and implementing cloud native systems and you are passionate about software engineering and product development, a passion you share with the team.
✅Preferably you have experience within our technology stack. If you have not and you’re willing to learn new technologies, then we would definitely consider your application if you’re fluent in at least one modern programming language (eg Go, Kotlin, Rust, C#, Swift, Node.js, …).
✅You have SQL and/or NoSQL database experience.
✅You have knowledge of current DevOps practices and technologies and know when and where to apply them.
✅You are able to clearly structure and communicate technical solutions, both to an engineering and product audience.
✅You enjoy working together across functions to help solve each other’s problems, and accomplish shared goals. You have an open and honest approach to teamwork, caring about growing and helping others do the same.
