Software Engineer @ BOSAQ in Deinze

As a software engineer within our growing company, your job description is broad and challenging.   For our technology department we are  looking for a software engineer / programmer who  wants to take on both PLC programming in an industrial context  and IoT development .  supports for our water treatment plants. It  is not a  requirement to   have experience in all areas, although it  is a plus. It is especially important that you  are flexible , independent and eager to learn .   Even though  we are looking for  someone who  can manage projects in an organized and structured way ,  your colleagues ensure that you do not have to do everything alone  to do. PLC & HMI:  ·        You optimize & monitor  the standardization within the software ·        You develop software for  new installations  and maintain/optimize the software for existing  installations ·        You design  and  improve user interfaces and HMI ·        You do PLC programming with Wago (Codesys) and have knowledge of Siemens ·        You work in an engineering project team on industrial projects IOT / Cloud:  ·        You create and maintain an  IoT cloud environment in Microsoft Azure, IoT Central or equivalent. ·        You can set up data capture, visualization and  reporting  (both in PLC and Azure Cloud)  ·        You develop and maintain remote management of installations via VPN ·        You set up routers and configure them in the installations ·        You (co-)implement  and  maintain machine learning and predictive maintenance in Azure ·        You are involved in (co)development of new IoT devices and applications ·        You will work closely  with  the  design and  R&D department to   improve the designs of new and existing installations

⚒️ Skills: ·        You have a  technical degree  (a2 or Bachelor electromechanics) or a degree in ICT ·        You feel at home behind a computer screen ·        You have experience with PLC software (preferably codesys, but also others such as Tia portal, Twincat,… ) Java, .net, C, Pyton (not required but a plus) ·        You have knowledge of networks and industrial communication as well as Office Apps ·        You are interested in industrial automation and have relevant experience ·        You are interested in  IoT and new developments in this area ·        You  are  fluent in English and Dutch (all software and comments are written in English) ·        You report progress, challenges, possible redirects, opportunities Attitude ·        You are hands-on & you like to build and create new things ·        You challenge yourself  and dare to think out of the box ·        You are a  real team  player: You work together with colleagues; every project is a team effort ·        You are proactive and always think a step further ·        Quality is  your  priority; you want to excel in your work ·        You are quick to understand and master new  knowledge ·        You love innovation
