What you will do

As a part of the growing Revenue Strategy Services (RSS) team at Lighthouse, you will be on the forefront of international expansion for this crucial business function. While we’ve found huge success with our North American RSS team currently providing holistic high-touch revenue strategy support to over 300 hotels and growing, we are looking to expand this success globally – starting in Madrid. As the Director of Revenue Strategy Services, you can provide integral support as we stand-up a team in this vibrant new market. Success here opens the door for future expansion throughout other markets. The sky’s the limit. 

Where you will have impact

  • Lead a team of revenue strategy professionals as you drive the effort to stand up a new office in Madrid supporting hotels throughout EMEA
  • Provide ongoing leadership and support to your team through regular 1:1s, mid-year & year-end conversations, annual planning conversations and goal setting, call feedback, new hire and ongoing training, and coverage during time-off or gaps in staffing
  • Serve as the EMEA liaison for Revenue Strategy Services working closely with the global head of RSS and Lighthouse leadership team
  • Strategize on bandwidth and property assignments on a regular basis ensuring adequate coverage and appropriate headcount
  • Collaborate with leaders in the Dallas office ensuring consistent communication and execution of Lighthouse RSS standards across time zones and markets
  • Support sales specialists by attending and assisting with demos and pricing for potential new clients
  • Work directly with talent acquisition, hosting interviews and providing feedback for RSS candidates
  • Be the main point of contact for owners and clients for your office’s hotel portfolio providing a high level of oversight, customer service and assist with any conflict resolution
  • Work closely with product teams and customer care ensuring our customers receive best in class service for all required products along with their RSS subscription
  • Think critically about the business, providing recommendations and solutions for RSS challenges
  • Provide temporary revenue strategy support as we build the team:
    • Analyze, recommend, and implement rate, yield, channel, and E-commerce strategy changes for a portfolio of hotels
    • Support and/or lead revenue calls with Hotel Owners, General Managers, Directors of Sales and other key stakeholders
    • Build and maintain relationships as a trusted advisor for our clientele through ongoing revenue calls and ad hoc communication
    • Present summarized key findings and results to ownership and investment groups
    • Review Daily Glance reports for each hotel in the portfolio and provide necessary analysis, recommendations, and/or strategy implementations
    • Help manage the Online Travel Agent relationships, digital marketing, and promotion participation to increase conversion and placement for hotel clients
    • Assist in ad hoc analysis and reports for hotel clients to identify revenue opportunities
    • Assist or lead the development of new tools, reports, and processes for the Lighthouse team
    • Utilize revenue management reporting and tools to increase room revenue and grow Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR) index for a portfolio of 8-15 hotels
    • Monitor rate parity across all booking channels and ensure straight-line availability to maximize revenue potential
    • Provide guidance to hotel teams on the latest brand updates and actionable revenue management opportunities

Who you are

  • At least 5-10 years of hotel revenue management experience 
  • At least 5 years leading a team of hotel revenue professionals
  • Advanced knowledge of a wide variety of market appropriate hotel brands and systems 
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills that motivate, empower and influence team members to drive results, resolve conflicts and promote a positive work environment
  • Experience managing elite, high-profile hotels in dynamic markets
  • Experience working with ownership and investment groups presenting results and findings in a poised and professional manner
  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Economics, Hospitality Management, or related field
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortability presenting data & analysis
  • Strong understanding of hotel operations
  • Strong ability to work in a team environment and collaboration during team meetings
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language, prepare reports in the proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar; speak with poise and confidence
  • Spanish/French or other European dialects are strongly preferred
  • Committed to 75% of in-office work days, or 3-4 days per week
