Our Experience tribe is looking for a Staff / Senior Engineer. This tribe works to ensure that our global user base has a fantastic user experience, and adoption of our Terminal increases. You will turn our UI/UX ambitions into reality (customization, notification, collaboration, etc) and move our web application to the next level. 

Your responsibilities will include:

    • Lead and mentor a team of frontend engineers, providing technical guidance and coaching.
    • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and priorities.
    • Architect, design, and implement scalable and maintainable frontend solutions using React and related technologies.
    • Utilize mapping libraries such as Leaflet or MapboxGL to integrate geospatial functionality into our applications, customizing as needed to meet specific requirements.
    • Drive best practices for code quality, testing, and performance optimization throughout the development lifecycle.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
    • Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies, and advocate for their adoption where appropriate.
    • Serve as a technical leader and advocate for frontend engineering best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities:

    • You think as a user when you start working on a new feature.
    • Building frontend features with Typescript and a modern framework (we use VueJS) has no secret for you.
    • You think a great user experience needs well designed backend services.
    • You can’t push code to production without tests and monitoring.
    • You are comfortable with English communication (oral/written).
    • You have proven record of shipping features on time and on budget  

Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a focus on frontend development using React.
    • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3, with a deep understanding of frontend frameworks and libraries.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex technical challenges with creativity and pragmatism.
    • Experience working in an agile development environment, with a focus on iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
    • Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a remote and largely asynchronous work environment

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working with mapping technologies, preferably Leaflet or MapboxGL, and integrating them into web applications.
    • Experience with backend development using Node.js or similar technologies.
    • Familiarity with geospatial data formats, APIs, and visualization techniques.
    • Understanding of cloud platforms and experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
