How would you support our success?
Do you have a knack for building strong relationships and a proven track record in sales? Silverfin is currently seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for developing and expanding our services to accountancy firms in Belgium.
As an Account Manager, you will be part of a fast-paced sales team where an entrepreneurial mindset is a must and is continuously encouraged. Your main responsibility is to expand the strategic relationships with our existing customers by proposing solutions that meet their needs and objectives. Are you ready for this challenge? The Belgian accounting market is already familiar with our Silverfin solution, but our product keeps evolving and new features are developed every day. You will be essential in helping us expand our services by spotting opportunities and growth potential at our current client portfolio. To maximise every sales conversation, a close collaboration with our Customer Success and Product Team is crucial.
A successful Account Manager will need to understand and identify industry pain points and trends. The know-how that you bring will help you to articulate exactly how our solution can address those needs. You have to be a fast-learner, tech-savvy, forward-thinking, solutions-driven, professional and tenacious. 

Your responsibilities?

    • Build and nurture a trustworthy relationship with Enterprise and Top Tier customers within our client base.
    • Key sales contact person for our customer base in Belgium (Wallonia and Flanders).
    • Listen to the customer’s short and long-term needs and align them with the company’s growth strategy.
    • Help our clients in taking the next steps with Silverfin by giving workshops, presentations, webinars.
    • Collaborate closely with your manager, your colleagues and the Customer Success department in assisting our clients to grow their Silverfin usage.
    • Collaborate with the Marketing, Finance, Legal and Technology departments to execute the aligned strategy (e.g. launching campaigns,…).
    • Serve as a business representative at industry events and conferences.

What would success look like?

    • Success in performance and accountability for an Account Manager within Silverfin looks like building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with clients, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets, and driving adoption and usage of our product.
    • You will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of the client’s business and needs, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, and working with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
    • An Account Manager within Silverfin is accountable for managing the client relationship, ensuring the client’s needs are met, and acting as the primary point of contact for any issues or concerns. You are also accountable for maintaining accurate records of all communication and activity in the CRM and collaborating effectively with other teams within the company, such as Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Product.
    • Ultimately, success in this role means driving revenue growth for the company while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and building strong, long-term relationships with clients.

Experience and Qualifications

    • 3 – 5 years experience in Account Management or a related role, preferably within the SaaS industry or a similar technology-driven sector.
    • Sales and Revenue Growth: Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
    • Client Relationship Management: Strong background in building and maintaining long-term client relationships, focusing on client satisfaction and retention.
    • Educational Engagement: Familiarity with conducting workshops, presentations, webinars, or similar activities to empower clients and enhance their product usage.

Skills and Knowledge

    • Communication Skills: Fluent and professional use of Dutch, English and French.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both internally with the team and externally with clients. The ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
    • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to close deals effectively and drive revenue growth. Ability to navigate and influence in complex B2B sales environments.
    • Strategic Thinking: A strategic mindset to develop and execute sales strategies that align with overall company goals and market trends.
    • SaaS Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the SaaS industry, particularly in the B2B space, with knowledge of trends, competitors, and customer needs.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments, such as Customer Success, Marketing,Product, Finance and Legal, to achieve shared goals.
    • Product Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of the Silverfin product and how it meets the needs of the target market. The ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate the value proposition (once you’re onboarded).
    • Sales Processes: Familiarity with modern sales methodologies, CRM systems, and sales tools to optimise processes and enhance team productivity.
