About the role
Unbox is seeking an experienced and driven Business to Government (B2G) Sales Lead to spearhead our engagements and revenue growth within the governmental sector. As the B2G Sales Lead, you will be instrumental in identifying opportunities, cultivating relationships, and securing contracts with government entities. Your primary responsibility will be to drive sales initiatives targeting government clients, managing business development representatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize sales ensuring alignment with Unbox’s objectives and strategies.
What you’ll do
Government (and intra-national organization) Client Engagement:
- Identify and engage government agencies at various levels (local, state, federal) to understand their needs, challenges, and procurement processes
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within governmental bodies, positioning Unbox as a valuable partner for their technological requirements
Contract Acquisition & Management:
- Lead the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and proposal development to contract negotiation and closure, adhering to governmental procurement regulations
- Manage contractual agreements with government clients, ensuring compliance, and fostering long-term partnerships
- Ability to craft strategic partnerships with market providers to ensure tender requirements are met
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans tailored to the B2G market, leveraging insights into governmental policies, budgets, and technology needs
Sales Performance Analysis:
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures
- Generate reports on sales activities, forecasts, and results to present insights to the leadership team
