About the role
Unbox is seeking a motivated and ambitious Business to Government (B2G) Business Development Representative to support our efforts in engaging with government entities. You will play a vital role in assisting the acquisition of contracts within the governmental sector, prospecting, and nurturing leads. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth of our B2G sales initiatives. This position offers a hybrid work model, combining remote flexibility with collaborative in-person engagement. The role involves approximately one day per week working together with our teams located in London or Belgium. Candidates should be based in either of these locations to facilitate periodic on-site collaboration and team synergy.
What you’ll do
Prospecting & Lead Generation:

  • Identify, research, and engage potential government agencies at various levels (local, state, federal), understanding their needs, key decision-makers, and procurement processes
  • Generate and qualify leads through various channels, including procurement platforms, cold outreach, networking, and leveraging industry events or conferences
  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with government stakeholders, supporting the B2G Sales Lead in nurturing connections and fostering trust

Proposal Development & Process Support:

  • Collaborate with the team to assist in the creation of tailored proposals and presentations for government clients
  • Aid in managing the administrative aspects of the sales process, including documentation, contract preparation, and compliance adherence

Market Research & Insights:

  • Conduct ongoing research on governmental policies, budgets, and technology needs, providing insights to the B2G Sales Lead to refine sales strategies
About you
  • Some experience in sales or business development, preferably in a B2G or related environment, demonstrating a passion for engaging with governmental entities
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate value propositions clearly and professionally to government stakeholders
  • Meticulous attention to detail in managing documentation, following processes, and ensuring accuracy in all communications and administrative tasks
  • Strategic thinker capable of crafting sales strategies aligned with governmental objectives, collaborating across departments to tailor solutions
  • Ability to navigate complex bureaucracies, adapt to changing governmental priorities, and remain persistent in pursuing opportunities
  • Keen interest in the Fintech/Web3 space
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages, especially those relevant to government jurisdictions, is advantageous
