Your future position
Since the acquisition of JBC Energy, Kpler has rapidly enhanced its capabilities, now operating not only as a world-renowned commodities data firm but as a provider of market-leading independent research. The Insight team touches all elements of company operations, from the core activity of market analysis to assisting in product development. In doing so, the team works closely with all aspects of the business, as well as building close relationships with all external stakeholders.
The successful applicant will be joining a dynamic and growing team of industry experts, dedicated to using Kpler’s considerable array of proprietary intelligence to provide insights into the markets.
As we look to further enhance the role of research within Kpler and develop the Insight team, we are adding experienced market professionals with solid backgrounds across the worlds of trading, fundamental analytics and consulting. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing the natural gas and LNG markets, with a focus on the US domestic gas market. They will produce market-driven content using Kpler’s proprietary data as well as in-house models and externally sourced information. They will be at ease talking to the media as well as attending and speaking at conferences. They will be happy to work in quite a commercial role where there is a strong connection between research, commercial managers and Kpler’s clients and prospects.
For this position, we require you to have existing right to work in the US

Your mission is to:

    • Using Kpler’s data and forecasts, identify, research, and report on interesting developments in the US natural gas and broader gas and LNG markets for Kpler’s client base
    • Use your experience  to enhance market coverage through the development of new models and reports
    • Through such insights, and using Kpler’s proprietary information, work closely with the global sales and marketing teams to demonstrate the value of Kpler’s solutions to the industry
    • Promote research and materials produced within Kpler across all external stakeholders, building relationships with both the mainstream and specialist media
    • Produce company webinars as well as participate in external webinars and conferences as a panellist and speaker
    • Collaborate with the product and technical teams to further develop our portfolio of client offerings

It will be a match if you are or have:

    • You have at least 4 years of prior experience analysing the US natural gas market with exposure to the broader thermal fuels markets
    • You have experience of producing independent market analysis and insights as well as working collaboratively within a team
    • You are skilled at carrying out complex analysis across multiple datasets using appropriate tools
    • You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience of using SQL, Python, R or Tableau is beneficial but not essential
